… begins a long journey
In these days of internet research, YouTube videos, blogs, discussion forums and more, it is easy to think that there is no need to travel. All that information is a kind of virtual experience. Why spend the money, time and effort to travel?
A wise friend said to me when I referred to all the YouTube videos we had watched … “You will make your own experience on the Camino”. I think what is missing in all the research mentioned above is your own reaction. The feel of wind on your face, the people you are with, the blister on your left toe.
So in just over a week a band of three will walk the Camino de Santiago – all 799km of it (according to a compostela that a YouTube person got, how frustrating!). This blog will be a little insight into our journey.
