We looked forward to our first rest day. After seven days walking we were wondering what a rest day would feel like. We also looked forward to more basic things.
First up was laundry. The Spanish ‘lavenderias’ are coin launderettes with – thankfully – instructions in English. Clean clothes were greatly appreciated.
We also took an opportunity of going inside a couple of the cathedrals in the city. The detail of the roof is something I enjoy photographing – how simple curves and arches hold up just significant structures amazes me.
The cathedrals were also a time of quiet contemplation – how are we going? How are our bodies? Our minds?
