… every person we met was on a different journey. Even if their destination was the same, what influenced them, their purpose, or their outcome was always different. On our day between Belorado and St Juan de Ortega we came across two very different stories. In middle is a Danish pastor who walked a portion of the Camino each year with the intention of arriving in Santiago de Compsotela “some day”. On the right is a Polish pilgrim who had walked from Poland to Santiago de Compostela via the northern route. On the way he found the dog you see with him, abused and afraid. He cared for the dog and continued on his journey with it. He was now walking the Camino Frances in the reverse direction with the intention of getting back to Paris so that he could return to Poland by train with his canine companion.
